Overview
There are roughly 60 million people in the United States that live with a chronic illness or condition. Out of those, 96% of people have a condition that is "invisible" to the outside world. These people do not use an assistive device and most look and act perfectly healthy. Unfortunately, that is not their reality as many are in constant pain and often are unable to work a regular job, despite "not looking sick".
Mission
BodyUnited aims to raise public awareness, remove stigmas, run fundraising campaigns, and help people find doctors and solutions through community networking.
